The AW189 is classified as a mid-size helicopter, and can be used for the following missions: Corporate, Medical, Oil & Gas, Parapublic, and Police. It can transport up to 16 passengers, 2 more than competitors of a similar size. The AW189 can fly as far as 490 nautical miles on a tank of fuel, a range that's 65 mi farther than other similarly sized rotorcraft. Its maximum altitude ceiling (HOGE) is 8770 feet, which is roughly average for its class. Top speed comes in at 150 knots, or right on par with the speed of the average mid-size helicopter.
